The short version: “I play the piano and sing love songs.”

The long version …

When I was 5, I danced and sang along to my dad playing 40s-era standards on our family’s baby grand.

When I was 7, my classical piano teacher told me I played like a boy.

When I was 9, I sang into my hairbrush pretending to be Amy Grant.

Just out of college, I shirked my pre-med Biology degree and made an earnest effort as the lead singer in a guitar-based rock band.

Three years ago I found my piano again, started writing love songs, and quit the band. Since then it’s been like walking around in an old, comfortable pair of shoes – playing the piano and singing songs about love.

The Los Angeles Times has very graciously described me as “… a beautiful piano player who sounds like the love child of Fiona Apple and Norah Jones.” Thanks, LA Times!

My debut EP, Boomerangs & Seesaws, was released in July 2007 on the tiny Saint Cloud Records label.

My second EP, Paris Can’t Have You, was released in March 2008, also by Saint Cloud.

My third EP, Why Don’t You Stay, was produced in Nashville by Grammy-winning producer, and really nice guy, Charlie Peacock (Switchfoot, Sixpence None the Richer, Amy Grant) and was mixed by Joe Zook (One Republic, Modest Mouse, Katy Perry) and was released on Saint Cloud in July 2009. About 6,000 of those EPs have made their home with many of you over the last 2 and half years! You guys are the best.

I tour constantly, and I’ve started to get a few placements in TV and film, and so I’ve started to have a little following across the country. Which is probably why you’re reading this! Thanks for coming … preview some music on the players over there on the right ==> … watch some videos … check out some photos … go nuts in the store … stay a while! I’m thrilled that you’re here.
