Encore!? And where the donation fits in.
#1
What happens if you are asked for an encore? Where does the donation announcement fall? Or does the act of having the donation happen immediately make an encore a moot point?

I don’t do encores for the reason that I craft my shows to end on the moment/vibe/feeling that I want everyone to carry out with them. It also has the added benefit of being a definitive ending point for the host to seize upon for making the donation announcement. That’s not to say that my way is the end-all, be-all way to do it — I know a lot of artists like to have the opportunity for an encore — but this way works really well for me.
