At long last, episode 3! This is “Songs From Home,” a series of live performances from my home.

Episode 3’s song comes from my most recent album Metaforma, and has definitely found its way onto the list of my own personal faves in my collection. It’s called “Continental Divide.” It’s a breakup song, but one that is wrapped around a warm center of delicate memories, honor for the path traveled, and an optimistic look toward the future.

The song was written in early 2013, although I’d been carrying around the title in my mind for a few years as an idea that would one day become a fully fleshed-out song. It became that song in the very same room in which this episode was recorded.
