Points Of Light

Late last night
I rose and wandered
Stepped outside
Looked up in wonder
Points of light
Moving through the sky
And here am I

Small and tired
From toil and worry
Taken aback
By expanse and beauty
Points of light
Traveled through the years
Someone’s sun
Moving me to tears
As I stand here

Emptied out
And filled with blessing
Slumber came
And soon I dreamt of home
