Well, it’s now officially a series because we have an episode 2! This is Songs From Home, a series of live performances from my home.

Today’s song comes from my new album CINEMASCOPE, and is one of my favorite songs that somehow made its way onto the pages of my song journal. It’s called “Book of Fiction,” and I often tell audiences that it’s about what might have been in another time, in another place.

But what I haven’t shared widely before now is that the majority of this song was written in the wee hours of the middle of one night after I woke up from a crazy dream. Every time I sing it, I vividly remember waking up that night with this song in my head.
