It’s hard to believe that the time is here: today’s the day we officially start planning for the 2015 Summer House Concert Tour. Hooray!
If you already know you want to host a show on this summer’s tour, or you’d like info about hosting one, then waste no time and send me an email right now to request the planning packet.
Want to learn what this house concert tour thingy is all about and what’s required to host a show? Well then, read on my friend, read on … 🙂
This will be the 4th summer in a row that my husband Jamie and I pile our music gear into our VW Jetta, drive tens of thousands of miles, stop each night at someone’s house, and put on intimate and unforgettable concert events for communities all across North America.
These are the most fun, most connective, most fulfilling shows I’ve ever done – so much so that I’ve essentially stopped performing in traditional music venues altogether. Yes, they’re that special.
What’s required to be a host? If you send me an email about hosting a show, I will send you our planning packet with all the details. But the basic requirements are very simple:
1- A “house”: This could be a living room, backyard, garage, condo community room, photo/art/dance studio, big house, small house – any space you have access to where your friends can sit, gather, and enjoy a concert.
2- A minimum of 20-30 adult friends to come: The show will be an exclusive private event for you and your community of friends, neighbors, and family.
And that’s pretty much it. What’s not required: a bunch of money. We do our concerts on a donation basis. It doesn’t have to cost you anything to host a house concert! Send me an email for more details.
We can’t wait to spend another amazing summer with all of you.
